VR : An Empathy Machine

 Empathy is a beautiful thing.

I wish we all could have just a bit more of it. I now believe, the reason I want to work so hard to try and grasp Virtual Reality is because it is a basically an empathy machine… Movies take us away, they give us the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. But VR can do that times ten. It can immerse you and make you forget about the present. It can steal your full attention away and actually make you use your brain to think about someone else. It’s fascinating… and it’s definitely just the beginning. These youtube, news articles and 30 sec clips aren’t enough. We need a better perspective, a more honest one… I’m excited that at least there is hope.
